Our Fall Favorite's

It seems crazy that we are already talking about fall and starting to prepare for the upcoming holiday season but here we are! I’ve been working around a very slow start and gradual entry school schedule as my oldest son is starting Kindergarten this year. Due to this slow start schedule and a little less time available to be in my office, I’ve had time to browse the internet and create my favorites' for this fall season. Check them out and let me know your faves in the comments!

// Soft Silhouettes

I know I know…curves have been extremely popular for a number of years now but I’m personally still not sick of them and don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon. Also, anything Leanne Ford has a bit of a chokehold. I’m obsessed with the elegant and formal styles that at the same read very casual and relaxed. Curves have a way of doing this almost every time. This Bench has been on my list for quite a while and I’m very close to pulling the trigger on it.

// Alllll the texture

Fall is all about understated and warm textures to me. As the holidays tend to bring a lot of décor, fluff, details and abundance in general; I really lean into minimal and timeless items where I can. I absolutely love this towel set from Zara Home. I’m ordering a few hand towels for my ensuite and powder room and cannot wait for them to arrive. The texture on the towel looks plush and the very simple black border is so timeless and classic.

//Undone & Casual Furniture Pieces

Normally these stools would be a bit too industrial for me but this season I’m really drawn to casual and slightly distressed finishes. The metal on these stools has a distressed and imperfect detail to them which I’m really loving. The seat fabric is also such a great light and neutral color. I wouldn’t personally use them in my kitchen because they don’t have backs but I’m loving them for a home bar area. The pricepoint is also so great.

//Warm Accents & Textures

I’m completely obsessed with these walnut salt and pepper mills from Eyeswoon. The walnut wood tone on these would add the perfect sense of warmth to an all white or cream kitchen. They are a bit of an investment but you would have them forever and they make a subtle statement. You also just can’t go wrong with a touch of walnut in your kitchen IMO. I have these planned for one of our project photoshoots happening later this year…stay tuned to see how we style these!

Of course, we couldn’t write a blog post about fall without including some of our favorite pillows and throws. We absolutely love this pillow from CB2 paired with this one also from CB2. If you’re a little adventurous and want to add a fun, trendy element to your space – these orb pillows from Indigo are a great way to participate in a trend without breaking the bank. These ones from Ffabb made locally in North Vancouver are absolutely stunning as well and can be made in a fabric of your choosing – highly recommend!

A subtle, soft throw is always our go to. If you have pattern in any of your pillows, I’d opt for a solid throw with a little texture. This one in this cream/off white colour is catching our eye for this season! *Bonus, it's currently on sale

We hope this inspired you to make your home warm and inviting this fall season!
